3 Reasons Why People Get Acne

Acne is a terrible skin condition affecting millions of people around the world. Many spend their whole life trying to find something that works and often wind up wasting hundreds of dollars on treatments that are expensive and not customized to their specific skin and acne problems. While, there are many generic home remedies, they are cost-effective and easily accessible meaning you can try them all to find the right one or combination of treatments for you. Learn how to get rid of acne naturally with a few quick to make and easy to use home remedies.

To know how to get rid of acne you need to understand why we get acne in the first place. To approach both the problems and solutions of acne we'll go through the top three reasons why people get acne and provide you with the tools to get rid of it.

1. Internal Toxins

Toxins are all around you in the environment and daily life, but you also have toxins in your body that your body works around the clock to fight and work to keep you from getting sick. When your body has too many toxins or infections you will likely sweat more or spike a fever, this causes the toxins to come out through your pores and cause pimples to appear. A pimple is no more than an infected pore. When the pore is clean and clear, your skin will be too. In order to combat these infections, you need to have skin that is clean and protected. Toners are great protecting agents for toxins and help to balance the skin as you release toxins. One great home remedy for toner is Papaya juice. Apply all over your face, let sit for fifteen to twenty minutes, then rinse with warm water and apply moisturizer.

2. Excessive Oiliness

Oily skin causes dirt and oil to clog the pores which can allow bacteria to grow and infections to start, which causes the pimples to show up. By keeping your face clean you can avoid this build up of oil and dirt. One great remedy for cleaners is to mix equal parts Rosewater (which can be found at most health food stores and many pharmacies) and lime juice. This solution can be kept in the refrigerator for several weeks for easy accessibility.

3. Dead Skin Cells

Dead skin cells are harmful in the same way that excessive dirt and oil are. When you don't take the time to exfoliate or use a weekly mask your dead skin cells sit there and are an open invitation for bacteria to settle into pores. Pores are tighter when fresh skin is on top and this keeps dirt and oil from clogging them. A great mask to use if you have dry skin is a paste made from oatmeal and water. If you don't have dry skin, make a paste out of baking soda and water. Both masks can be allowed to dry, and then rinsed off with warm water. Always apply a mask at the end of your day, so your skin will be clean for a period of time. Follow up with a moisturizer and enjoy your bright new skin.

I also have problems with acne from time to time. It sucks. Recently I've been using Clean & Clear products that are bottled in the navy blue and silver bottles. Those creams and washes are particularly stronger on acne compared to their other washes. It has been working great! Be sure you wash your face every morning and every night. I also find that tanning helps clear up my skin. But remember that acne is also genetic and not all creams and washes will work.

Over the counter - clean & clear Prescription - Tazorac I personally think the over the counter ones suck I use Tazorac. Its prescription only. It really works!!! If you use it every night for 2 weeks, all your zits are gone. The bad news if you use Tazorac, it causes redness, but I wear concealer to cover that up during the day.

I use Neutrogena as recommended by a dermatologist.

I tried some weird Russian stuff and them Proactive and eventually came up with my own solution to acne that was both cheaper and worked better than either: wiping your face with cotton ball that has a a watered down version of rubbing alcohol in it. Once a day doesn't dry up your face to bad, but I guess it depends on the skin type.

Well my advice for you acne: For nice clear skin:Get some yarrow capsules, put one in some warm water, splash your face with it,pat dry with a wash-clothe.Or as a cleanser if you have dry skin try milk it has lactic acid (found in alot of really expensive creams!).Then for toner use lemon it balances the ph in your skin,Apply with cotton ball. Then use 100% pure aloe vera gel (get this stuff at local heath food store or drugstore).Hope I helped!,God bless!. :) Garlic is good for pimples to (not good for sensitive skin) just leave it on for like 5 mins (mash it up first). Also have a good diet, eat lots of fruits and veggies(I'm a vegetarian).Drink water too, half your body weight (if you weigh 100 lbs drink 50 oz a day).Taking MSM (100-1,000 mg) daily can help acne. Also try an egg mask, simply leave egg white (from one egg) on your face for 10 minutes. I advise you to try a tomato ,take a tomato and cut a few slices from it and then leave the slices on your face for about 10 minutes(flesh side down). For your body simply: Mix suger (or sea salt) and Olive oil together and you have a great scrub!. :) The reason why your skin clears up then blemishes again is because you skin becomes immune to the product your using. Thats why skin never stays clear. Face cleansers like Proactive, Clean and Clear and all that stuff has a lot of chemicals in that eat away bacteria on your face. Now there's nothing wrong with that but when it starts stripping your face of natural oils then you have a problem. Diet is also a bit part a clean skin. Make sure your eating right, fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat and blah blah blah. Keep your hands from your face, and don't pick at your blemishes. It will just spread bacteria over your face. As a preliminary stage to a fast and as a suggested dietetic lifestyle, if you are serious about curing your acne and keeping it off, you must make a change in your diet and eliminate all mucus (acid) forming foods such as processed (junk) foods, fast foods, confectioneries, soft-drinks and eat more wholesome and natural foods like your fresh fruits and leafy vegetables, nuts, root vegetables, fresh juices-basically foods that are mucus (alkaline-forming) binding. How so the uninformed may ask; well based on scientifically proven research on thousands of people for over two centuries on such health principles as food combination and the realization that the human body goes through a cleansing process from twelve midnight until twelve noon, and a building program from twelve noon to twelve midnight, your meals during these respective periods should be harmonious with the natural processes. As a result here is a suggested daily menu plan Breakfast: A choice of the following 1. A tall glass of Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice. 2. A tall glass of Fresh squeezed lemonade flavored with genuine maple Syrup (the darker the grade the better) Lunch: A mono-meal of an organic fruit in season for example Apples in the fall and winter, Melons in the summer, Berries in spring. Dinner: Fresh, home-made salads. A simple dressing could be (a) Lemon juice, olive oil and un-iodized sea-salt (b) Avocadoes or Green coconuts blended with tomatoes and some sea salt Or Raw and/ or cooked root vegetables such as Celery, Carrots, Potatoes, Plantains, raw or slightly heated fruit veggies (these can be blended into Soups or dressings for your salads) Some factors that must also be noted to ensure the maximum assimilation of nutrients from our meals include thoroughly masticating or chewing the mouthfuls of one’s meals for as the Indian proverb goes "chew your foods well as the stomach has no teeth. " In addition, I have also outlined the menu plan above keeping proper food combinations in mind. Moreover, refrain from the habit of drinking liquids with your meals, as I stated in the free resources section of my site on controlling asthma, drinking ANY liquids with your meals tends to dilute the digestive juices in your stomach which consequently deters digestion, assimilation and increases the tendency for constipation. If you must drink water after or before a meal, wait a solid hour or so before or after eating. Also garlic, garlic tea,it sounds gross but it works. 3 cups water 3 garlic cloves, cut in half 1/ 2 cup honey 1/ 2 cup fresh lemon juice Directions In a saucepan, bring 3 cups of water and the 3 cloves of garlic to a boil. Turn off the heat when the water boils, and add 1/ 2 cup of the honey and 1/ 2 cup of the fresh lemon juice. Strain. Sip 1/ 2 cup, warm, three times a day. Refrigerate extra to use the next day. *Never repeat the use of a pillowcase in 2 days, always change them nightly so get 7 clean ones. Be conscious of how they are folded to ensure you sleep on the unexposed side upon unfolding the pillowcases. *As much as possible, keep unwashed hands off of your face, if you must touch it, say for example, to scratch an itch, ensure to use the back of your hands. *Try to sleep on your right side. Besides making your sleep more refreshing, this practice ensures that you keep your face off of the pillow and freer to breathe during the night. As an added benefit, your heart functions much better as you are not putting pressure on it based on this position of the body during sleep. *Wash your hair with a mild shampoo every night especially if you use greasy hair products, or use a wrap-around nightcap that covers the hair and ensure the cap is washed every morning. *Make frequent visits to the steam room of a gymnasium or you can steam the face at home as an alternative. The aim here is to aid the skin in eliminating toxins through sweating Info: Benefits of aloe vera Many ancient works, including the Bible, refer to the use of aloe. One of the first documented users of aloe vera was Cleopatra, who lived from 68 to 30 B.C. She is said to have used the gel on her skin as protection from the sun, and to have thought the gel helped to keep her skin young-looking. In fact, the Egyptians may have used aloe vera in their embalming of bodies, among other uses. About the year Six B.C., Dioscorides, a Greek physician, discovered aloe vera was effective in treating a wide range of ailments, from kidney problems and constipation, to severe burns of the skin. Today aloe vera continues to be widely used around the world. Studies have shown that aloe vera speeds the healing process, particularly in burns, including those from radiation. It is also used by dermatologists to speed healing after facial dermabrasion, which removes scars from the skins top layers. ***** The possible benefits from the use of aloe vera gel and juice include: 1. May help sooth skin injured by burns, irritations, cuts and insect bites. 2. May help moisturize and soften the skin. 3. May help speed the healing of skin wounds, acne, burns and other injuries. 4. May help (when taken internally)with constipation, diarrhea and other intestinal problems. 5. May speed and improve general healing when taken internally. 6. May relieve itching and swelling of irritated skin. 7. May help kill fungus and bacteria. 8. May improve the effectiveness of sun screen products. ......................................… Benefits of Lactic acid Lactic acid is a naturally occurring alpha-hydroxy acid that is fermented from milk for use in cosmetics, lotions and cleansers to assist in smoothing and moisturizing the skin. Lactic acid is of great use in any healthy skin regimen, as it aids in the sloughing of dead skin cells, increasing cellular turnover while hydrating the skin for a fresh and rejuvenated complexion. Lactic acid can be used for many skin problems including the management of acne, wrinkles, psoriasis, sun damage, keratosis pilaris and hyperkeratosis, and can even be used on slightly sensitive or allergy-prone skin. Egg After applying egg whites, your skin takes on a tighter, more lifted appearance, causing some skin care aficionados to go so far as to call the egg white mask an "egg white face lift ". Other benefits of this natural skin care treatment, egg whites have been known to reduce the appearance minor breakouts, as well as enlarged pores. Tomatos and Lycopene Lycopene is high in antioxidants and fat soluble, with a small molecule structure that is easily absorbed by the skin. There is a drawback however. Lycopene is not dietary soluble (the molecule structure is tightly bound) unless cooked.Tomatos have high levels of both vitamins C and A,great for skin. Honey Honey also is be good for your skin. It has the ability to attract water. You can use honey instead of alpha hydroxy masks because of its high content of the acid. It is also safe for sensitive skin. You can also use it as a moisturizing mask for your skin as well as your hair. Garlic A small clove of garlic has been regarded as having health benefits for the body for thousands of years. Raw garlic is chalked full of natural agents that help it function as an antibiotic, antiviral, antifungal, antiseptic and a germicide. It is also an antioxidant, so a diet rich in raw garlic fights against harmful free radicals. Garlic is also known to be a diuretic helpful in combating water retention and helpful in flushing toxins. Applied topically garlic can work as a skin minimizing anti-inflammatory. There are many ways in which garlic can be used to directly battle beauty problems, but a regular regimen of fresh garlic intake can help prevent against needing to use garlic topically. One easy way to get all of the beneficial properties of garlic fresh every day is to eat a clove of minced or chopped garlic each day in a cup of applesauce, yogurt or cottage cheese. cooking to seal in all of the beneficial properties that can be cooked out by frying or baking.

Yes it is a totally normal thing for a teenager to go through. I myself have struggled with acne for many years when I was that age, I eventually did go see a dermatologist and started to learn about the skin and got very interested in it. I am now in my second year of college in an advanced skin care program. And will be a fully licensed aesthetician within a couple of months. The first thing you should know is why you even have acne in the first place, then you can start working on the underlining cause of the problem and treat everything. You can use all the over the counter and home remedy tricks in the book and they may help you current breakouts, but there will always be ones that follow. Acne in teenagers is primarily caused by hormones. Having imbalances in hormones witch almost every teenager goes through, causes excess sebum (oil) in the skin. Pimples are formed when that sebum mixes with dirt and clogs a pore. The white puss that comes out is actually you bodies own white blood cells trying to get rid of the problem on its own. Hers the thing that I would recommend to you that worked the best for me: I did finally at the age of 19 go to my family doctor about my acne. He prescribed an antibiotic pill and a vitamin A cream to apply. This worked pretty good, but it still wasn’t really stopping the problem. Finally they tried putting me on birch control. That was the key!! This worked more then any acne product out there!! I know that it may sound odd, but this really cures acne and you wont ever have to deal with it again, I only wish I started earlier. Here’s how it works: The birth control is a type of hormone, the kind of hormone you body makes when it is pregnant. Since acne is a result of hormone imbalances, this acts as a stabilizer. The result is less sebum production, thus fewer acne problems. The pill has many other heath benefits as well, not just for acne. It is something you should really ask you doctor about. and don’t be shy to ask. The birth control is widely prescribed specifically to treat acne. There are even brands that are strictly for that purpose. It s also best to keep in mind a good skin care regime. Cleanser then toner. New studies suggest that if you have acne problems it is best not to use a moisturizer as it contains oils and other pore clogging ingredients. If you get a good toner, it actually does a better job then a moisturizer. There are some good products out on the market, however it is best to purchase them from a professional place as the ingredients are much more pure. stay away from products with alcohol, as it dries the skin and produces even more sebum, stay away from anything containing mineral oil, it is very pore clogging. Another good thing to do is to book an appointment for a facial at a spa. The aesthetician will be able to analyze you skin and refute you to the best products to use. They will also perform extractions which is key to treating existing breakouts. This is when they use a special tool to extract blackheads and dirt that is clogging the pores. Preventing any future break outs and relieving current ones. Most certified aestheticians have a very good knowledge of the skin and actually look deeper into the problem and treatment then doctors do. I hope this helps you out, If you take care of the problem right from where it starts you will have an acne free future and not have to ever worried about it again.

I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/ pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at. I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life. I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy. Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful. You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy. Well good luck and best wishes.
